Our Gym

We are a company centered on community and helping others. Bringing the highest quality fitness and an inclusive environment of all abilities and ages.

We have over 5,000 square feet to play, learn and grow. We also have a large children’s area available for Parents.

Decima CrossFit has everything needed for functional fitness and improving every component of fitness with all the best quality Equipment from Rogue©.

I hesitate to write this review because the selfish part of me wants to keep this hidden gym private but I want everyone to have the BEST workout! If you want to push yourself and burn 500-600 calories a workout, if you want to grow physically and mentally, if you want the BEST trainers, then this is the place for you. I walked in not knowing what I got myself into but ended up loving it and it is mostly due to the trainers that explain every movement and help get you to your goals. Last year was the worst year of my life and I thank Nick and Ashley for getting me to where I am today. Walk in with an open mind and ready to work and I promise you will be happier for it. H.B.

Nick Philpot

Head Coach/Owner

Nick is the head coach owner and operator of Decima CrossFit. Proud Father and husband.

I started my athletic career playing basketball, baseball, and soccer throughout high school, then continuing the gym rat mentality through college. After realizing that standing in front of a mirror and doing bicep curls just wasn’t working for me, I found CrossFit in 2013 and was immediately hooked. I knew that this was the only way to get truly fit. I earned my CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2, and am actively working towards the Certified Level 3 CrossFit Trainer. I found that helping people to become better movers, more in shape and healthier was extremely satisfying. This is why I opened Decima CrossFit, to help others and create an atmosphere that is welcoming yet challenging. Being both a CrossFit coach and an athlete gives me a unique insight into what it takes to be healthy and competitive in the fitness regimen of CrossFit and the sport.

Renee Putman

Oly Coach/Coach

A Certified Personal Trainer, CrossFit Level II, and Advanced Weightlifting and Sports Performance Coach, Renee is committed to providing a challenging, safe and fun environment for everyone that steps into her class. With over five years of experience coaching CrossFit and weightlifting, Renee has a keen eye toward technique, and her coaching style always emphasizes form first.

From gymnastics and track in junior high to volleyball in high school and college, as well as more than a dozen years competing in triathlon and running races, Renee has been involved in athletics of one sort or another for pretty much forever.

Then, the year she turned forty, she picked up a barbell and it was love at first snatch! Outside the gym, Renee enjoys anything and everything crafty, hanging out with her significant other and their two girls, as well as taking care of the family zoo which currently includes two cats, a rabbit, and George the dog.

Alex Brown

Coach

Alex started his CrossFit journey in November of 2017 and hasn’t looked back at his “old” ways of fitness since! Alex is a certified nutritionist and CrossFit Level-1 trainer and is looking to complete his CrossFit Level-2 in the near future.

Alex believes that the “little” things in lifting techniques make huge differences, not only in the gym, however, in life! Alex is also pursuing his master’s degree in Nutrition and Human Performance with an emphasis in sports nutrition.

Outside of the gym, Alex educates health and fitness professionals and the general public about diabetes, diabetes management and exercise. He and his wife, Gretta, love hiking the outdoors and travelling to new and exciting places!

Cathy Whitney

Coach

My name is Cathy and I absolutely love CrossFit! I’ve been hooked since 2013 when I was looking for a really hard workout and to make new friends in Boston, MA. I’ve never looked back since, and it was only a matter of time before I decided to pursue coaching and obtain my CrossFit Level 1 Certificate. When I’m not getting my fitness on at Decima, you can find me playing outside: backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and taking rides with my wife on our motorcycle.

Ashley Cordova

Coach

I started coaching December of 2017 and initially was nervous and hesitant to coach because I didn’t think I would be good at it. After coaching for a year now, I am happy to be a coach and glad I took the opportunity. My favorite part of coaching is watching members become stronger by pushing themselves more than they thought possible. I love helping them change their form on a movement and seeing the “lightbulb” when the movement feels and looks better.

I have been doing CrossFit for 6 years and competing seriously for 2-3 years. It has shown me what it means to work hard for something, to train my mind, and to make my physical body the absolute best it can be as well as many other lessons.

Outside of the gym, I enjoy all things related to food and nutrition, hosting a Bible study group at our house, and spending time in the mountains snowboarding and camping.

Coach Doug

Coach

In 2012 I co-operated a facility out of my garage where I would train and train others in Olympic and Powerlifting as well as the art of JuJitsu. I was introduced to CrossFit in 2016 where I’ve strayed away from solely isolated movements and focused on High Intensity, Constantly Varied and Functional movements. I have a CrossFit Level I certificate and have been coaching CrossFit for the past four years.

My passion for CrossFit is for others to build on their overall strength, push themselves beyond the limit they think they cannot reach and to live a healthier life that’s contagious to the next generation! I love Jesus, I’m not perfect, I take everything as an opportunity to learn, I’m passionate about fathering the fatherless, and my favorite movements consist of the Deadlift, Hand Stand Push-ups, and the Clean and Jerk.

Phil Ficsor

i99 Gymnastics Coach

Phil Ficsor is a Level 1/Level 2-certified i99 gymnastics coach. His training as a classical violinist helps him understand both the long-term commitment it takes to excel at the skill-based movements involved in a sport like Crossfit as well as the quality of movement required to make challenging gymnastic movements appear easy.

He is passionate about passing on this knowledge to athletes through coaching i-99 programming, which breaks down each movement before putting them back together into a fluid movement. Besides being a professional violinist, he loves to backcountry ski/mountain bike and loves inspiring quotes.
